Brentwood Borough Council undertook a Call for Sites at the beginning of the year and a total of 133 submissions were received for consideration.
What the Call for Sites is:
* An open invitation for anyone to suggest land that may be suitable for development or other uses.
* A way for the Council to build a robust evidence base of potentially available land.
* A process that considers both brownfield and greenfield sites.
* A step toward understanding land availability across the Borough.
It is important to note, the Call for Sites exercise will not in itself determine whether a site should be allocated for development. All sites will need to be further assessed and the overall strategy for the Local Plan Review will be informed by a number of evidence base documents and feedback from consultations. The submission of a site through the Call for Sites process does not give them any planning status, nor does it determine any future planning status.
Sites submitted during the Call for Sites are now available to view on the interactive map. This provides the location of the site and limited information including the site address, site area, proposed use and unique ID number.
