For the past few months, IFPC have been working closely with First Bus and other partners to bring improvements to the 351 service. While plans are still being finalised, the current proposal is to introduce three additional services each way, Monday to Friday, starting this September.
Discussions are ongoing, but we’re lobbying to see this pilot go ahead. If approved, the additional services would run for a one-year trial from 1 September 2025, funded through Essex County Council’s Love Your Bus grant.
This initiative is being led by IFPC in collaboration with First Bus, Brentwood Borough Council, Brentwood Bus & Rail Users Association, Chelmsford For You, Brentwood Connected, New Folly Surgery, and our Economic Development working group.
