IFPC is delighted to announce that the bag borrowing scheme, proposed by Anglo European student Louis Porter, is now up and running!
This project, proposed by Louis, was warmly welcomed by IFPC’s Climate Emergency Working Group, and we hope to see it make a real impact in reducing plastic waste in our village. The idea behind this initiative is simple — if you’ve forgotten your shopping bag, instead of buying a new one, just pop into the village phone boxe (conveniently located near Co-op and Budgens) and borrow a reusable bag. Once you’re done with it, you can either keep it for future use or return it to the phone box for someone else to use.
A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated bags to the scheme! If you have any spare reusable bags at home, feel free to drop them off at the phone box to keep the cycle going.
We encourage all residents to make use of this scheme and help reduce plastic waste in Ingatestone—every small action makes a difference! 🌍♻️
