A huge thank you to everyone who came along to this year’s Summer Show – and especially to those who stuck it out despite the weather! It was one of those days… but you showed up with smiles, umbrellas and great community spirit, and we’re so grateful.
To all the stallholders, performers and local clubs who powered through the rain – thank you. To everyone who came with family, supported local charities, sampled the food, browsed stalls, and brought their dogs and homegrown entries for the horticultural show – you made it a brilliant day.
We were also pleased to welcome some special guests: Lord Petre, whom we’re always honoured to see at the show year after year; Brentwood’s new Mayor, Cllr Jay Laplain; and local MP Alex Burghart.
We did have to cancel a few performances – including the races, choir, Morris dancers and children’s dance show – but the day still turned out to be a great success.
