Ingatestone Summer Show – Save the Date!

We’re busy getting everything ready for this year’s Ingatestone Summer Show, happening on Saturday 19 July – so save the date for the village’s biggest summer event!

Last year’s show was a fantastic day out, with families enjoying the sunshine, great food, and brilliant entertainment. Local clubs, groups, and businesses joined in, and this year is shaping up to be even better.

Entry is completely free, and the funfair will be back with £5 wristbands for unlimited rides.

What can you expect?

• A Horticultural Show in the main marquee

• A packed arena with entertainment, children’s races, and a little surprise – something new for this year!

• The return of The Sound Collective Chorus with live sets throughout the day

• Dozens of local clubs, groups and organisations, including the Rotary Club, Tennis Club, WI Fryerning, Community Centre, Young Expressions, Camera Club, Arts Society Brentwood, Lipreading group, Museum Trust, Meet & Paint, Waltham Bonsai Club, local Brownies and Guides, Rayleigh Writers, Essex Allotment Farm and Find Your Active; Brentwood Community Connect Trailer with lots of useful local information will also be in attendance.

• Artisan makers, both new and returning favourites, including the Little Black Cat, Retro from Scratch, Gypsea by Myrin, Filli London, Martha and Me Food, Toys and Tiaras, Bored at Work Studio, Becky and Alexander, Dolly and Stitch, Doddlebug’s Design, Last Jar Jams, Lucy Weston Art and the Soap Den.

• Local charities attending, including Remus, Friends of Wallace Kennels, Kids Inspire, PussyCat Lodge, Care for Cats and Help Me Home (supported by Advanced Metal Finishers Ltd)

• Adorable Alpacas

• Vintage tractors and vehicles

• A quiet corner with arts and crafts at St Edmund & St Mary’s Church

• Tombolas run by various local clubs – don’t miss your chance to try your luck!

Food & drink highlights include:

• New this year: The Deli Ingatestone in the Seymour Pavilion

• The Scouts with their brilliant BBQ

• The Cricket Club and their bar

• Delicious Indian from Tapu Street Food which proved a hit last year

• Ice Cream Van

• Milkie Way Limited with their iced coffee and milkshakes

• Waffles and crepes barrow

We’re also hoping to reinstate the Tug of War tradition – so if you have a team ready, we want to hear from you!
