Residents have already shared their views with National Grid about the Norwich to Tilbury pylons. Now it’s time to tell the Planning Inspectorate – the decision-makers on this project.

When you respond, you can:
- State you support the Essex Suffolk Norfolk Pylons Action Group
- Explain any harms caused by the project in your area, including effects on heritage, environment, wildlife, landscape, houses or businesses, and public rights of way
- Highlight consultation deficiencies and any issues dealing with National Grid since 2022

Don’t know what to say to the Inspectorate?
- State, “I support the Essex Suffolk Norfolk Pylons action group. Consultation has been legally deficient since 2022. No alternatives have been presented and we have not been listened to by National Grid.
- Summarise everything you have said before. Remember, you’ve told *National Grid* what you think before, *not* the Planning Inspectorate.
- List any of the below that are relevant in your area:
- HARM caused by the project –
- Heritage: Describe the harm cause to historic assets like listed buildings.
- Archaeology: Describe the harm caused by the project.
- Environment, habitat, species: Describe the harm caused by the project
- Do you see geese & swans fly across the route? Do you see bats? Are there any ancient trees or hedgerows at risk? Mention it.
- Landscape: Describe features that make the landscape special.
- Describe the harm caused by N2T.
- Proximity to houses or businesses: Describe any harms
- Public Rights of Way Describe the harm to PROWs’, especially when they are well used eg Essex Way
- Breaches of Holford Rules (or Horlock Rules if you have a substation)
- Roads and access Describe any road access issues
- Set out all the flaws of the consultation process e.g. – Which points you have raised previously that have been ignored by NG / Difficulties for your parish with regard to attending drop-in events / Lack of awareness of consultation / Being unable to understand the proposals
