From Floral Displays To Family Fun Days – Discover Brentwood This Summer

This Summer is blooming with reasons to visit Brentwood, Shenfield and Ingatestone with a series of free family events hosted by Brentwood Connected Business Improvement District (BID).

Ingatestone in Bloom is a brand new floral event from Brentwood Connected in one of Essex’s prettiest villages, with floral displays for visitors to enjoy from Friday 17 July and continuing throughout the Summer.  Displays including traditional flowers, window painting and colourful props can be enjoyed by visitors while eating, drinking, and shopping local, discovering businesses and exploring the historic village.  A variety of displays will be in place for those attending Ingatestone & Fryerning Parish Council’s Summer Show on Saturday 18 July, making it the perfect time to explore the picture-perfect High Street before or after visiting the show.  Businesses including Abigail’s Lifestyle, Budgens, Co-Op, Fierce Wellness, Ingatestone Library, Kennadys, Oaktree Gallery, Pastasciutta, Patrick Green 1888, Ravens Bakery, The Blue Dandelion, The Ginger Tree, The Lounge, and The Star Inn will take part in Ingatestone In Bloom, bringing colour, creativity and vibrancy to the village.  Places like St. Edmund & St. Mary’s Church and The Bell, as well as Ingatestone Station through volunteer station adopters, have beautiful displays to enjoy all year round.

Alongside Ingatestone In Bloom, Brentwood Connected is bringing back its popular Family Fun Days, in partnership with Brentwood Borough Council, giving families even more reasons to support the High Streets this Summer.  On Wednesday 5 August in Brentwood High Street, and Wednesday 19 August in Hutton Road, Shenfield, there will be free rides, face painting, entertainment, and a range of fun activities for families to enjoy.  Both events run from 10am-4pm, are free to attend and funded by town centre businesses.

Brentwood Borough Council will also host its Family Fun Days in local parks this Summer, visiting Seymour Field in Ingatestone on Friday 31 July (10.30am-3.30pm) and Hutton Recreation Ground on Friday 28 August (10.30am-3.30pm).  These events are free to enter, with a small charge for rides.  The Family Fun Days are sponsored by Mullis & Peake Solicitors, Razzamataz Theatre Schools Brentwood and Stagecoach Performing Arts Brentwood.

Brentwood Connected is the unique Business Improvement District (BID) supporting the borough’s three high streets and funded by town centre businesses to improve the experience of residents, visitors, employees and businesses in Brentwood, Shenfield and Ingatestone.  For information about Brentwood Connected, visit www.brentwoodconnected.co.uk.
