The parish council have been exploring the possibility of setting up a community shed – a friendly, shared space where people of all ages can come together, work on projects, learn new skills and meet others. It’s similar to a Men’s Shed, but open to everyone.
We’re considering a location near Seymour Pavilion and have already started research, including a meeting with the Essex Shed Network. Further meetings are coming up to explore funding options and shape a clear plan.
Soon, we’ll be announcing a public evening meeting, where everyone will be welcome to come along. Whether you’d like to express interest, share ideas, have experience of a Men’s or community shed elsewhere, or might be able to offer advice or support – we’d love to hear from you!
