IFPC is delighted to announce the launch of some new and exciting projects that the council will look to carry out over the next financial year. The council met for an away day on Zoom in January to discuss items that should be added to the council’s action plan for the forthcoming year.

As well as statutory committees, the council has formed ‘working groups’ where councillors and members of the public and get stuck into local projects.

The Economic Development Working Group has looked at how a farmer’s market might be viable for the villages. The working group hope this project will provide support and a platform to local businesses as well as enhancing the community spirit of the parish.

The Climate Emergency Working Group has been working on a number of community projects to enhance the green landscapes. The group have begun work on establishing a community garden on the footpath leading from Fairfield Recreation Ground to Ingatestone Station.

Our Health and Wellbeing Working Group has been busy working towards dementia friendly village status and looking at ideas to deal with social isolation.
