Community Energy in Ingatestone – come and join us!
IFPC are inviting residents, local businesses, community organisations and anyone interested in sustainability to join us next Wednesday 16 September at 7pm, for an evening exploring the future of community energy in Ingatestone and Fryerning.
πŸ“… Wednesday 16 September 2026
πŸ•– 7.00pm
πŸ“ Seymour Field Pavilion, New Road, Ingatestone, CM4 0HH
Earlier this year, solar panels were installed at the Seymour Pavilion, and we’re already seeing some great results from the first stage of the project (jointly funded by IFPC and Brentwood Borough Council). Now we’d like to look at what could come next – both for the Pavilion and for community energy more widely in Ingatestone.
Join us to hear about:
β˜€οΈ The Seymour Pavilion solar project and Brentwood Borough Council‘s Community Energy programme
⚑ Community energy opportunities in Brentwood and across Essex
πŸ’‘ Practical ways businesses, schools, community buildings, churches and voluntary organisations can reduce their energy costs
πŸ’· Funding and support available for future community energy projects
πŸ”‹ How locally generated energy could potentially be used or shared in the future, including opportunities to explore energy storage, local supply and EV charging
🀝 Whether there is interest in establishing a Community Energy Group for Ingatestone
We’re particularly keen to hear from residents who would be interested in getting involved and perhaps helping to research what a local community energy group could look like.
Tea and coffee will be available, with time for questions and networking afterwards β˜•οΈ
Come along, find out what we’re already doing, and help us explore what could be possible for community energy in Ingatestone in the future!
