Following IFPC’s persistent lobbying, led by Cllr Sankey, Essex Highways have now completed the long-overdue repainting.
The crossings – located by the library, near the Market Place and at the junction with Stock Lane and Fryerning Lane – had become so faded that they posed a real hazard for pedestrians, including students, parents, shoppers, and older residents.
After months of delays and repeated calls for action, all three pedestrian crossings in Ingatestone High Street have finally been repainted – greatly improving safety for everyone using them.
