Ingatestone and Fryerning Parish Council (IFPC) is delighted to announce that the newly renovated Fairfield under-12’s play area is open and ready for use by our community. The official opening was held on 30 September at 1.30pm with members of Ingatestone and Fryerning Junior School’s school council invited to use the new equipment.

The playground work was commissioned after a tender process selected Proludic to develop the area with an allocated budget of £75,000. The new design includes accessible designs and sensory elements, including a wheelchair-friendly roundabout.

IFPC chair Paul Jeater says: “The refurbished play facility on Fairfield has been a major project for Ingatestone and Fryerning Parish Council this year. We consulted our regular users and hope the new equipment is enjoyed by our villages’ children. We are delighted to invite Ingatestone Junior School’s School Council to open our new play area.”

Annabel Brown, Proludic Area Manager says: “Proludic is proud to have been involved in delivering this fantastic jungle-themed play area for the community to enjoy. This new play space is now complete with extensive play opportunities for all the children who live within the Parish. This play area offers numerous pieces of inclusive play equipment alongside a dynamic Ka’Yop multiplay unit as the focal point. Additionally, the innovative and unique Ka’Yop play unit is the first to be installed in the UK and we are sure the children will love it!”
