Ingatestone and Fryerning Parish Council has been received a prestigious award as part of the Local Council Award Scheme

Decorative & Fine Arts (NADFAS)

We get together to enjoy illustrated art-based lectures from professional speakers who are expert in their field, covering a wide range of topics in the fine and applied arts. We meet once a month, except in August and December.

Besides the lectures, a programme of visits to places of cultural interest is arranged each year, usually two one-day trips and a longer tour of maybe 4 or 5 days.

We have about 150 members and don’t have a waiting list – new members are very welcome. We meet every month except August and December on a Wednesday evening in Ingatestone.

If you are thinking of joining, please feel free to come along to a few lectures as a visitor initially, if you wish; visitors pay £7 per lecture, or £1 for students under 25 years of age.

Members have free attendance at the monthly lectures, access to the visits and tours programme and the freedom of joining the enthusiastic Church Recording volunteer group. They are also able to take advantage of other NADFAS HQ and Essex Area benefits; see more on the Joining Us page.

Come along and try us out – you’ll have an enjoyable evening!
