This month’s parish council newsletter centre spread is of an updated Ingatestone and Fryerning Heritage Trail. This has been devised with help from a number of local community organisations and supported by funding from the Essex Heritage Trust and Brentwood Borough Council. It has now been printed for distribution and display to local schools, local museum, businesses and in the parish council’s phone boxes.
Residents will be able to remove and keep the centre spread and use as a basis for a walk around our beautiful and historic parish, maybe including refreshments or other stop off at our local businesses en route. Alternatively, you can print the leaflet yourself by clicking HERE and choosing A3 paper size.
Help received with funding for formatting and printing is gratefully acknowledged as is support with text, illustrations and administration of funding from parish councillors, members of the Ingatestone and Fryerning Historical and Archaeological Society, the Ingatestone Meet and Paint Group, cpm-digital.co.uk and Matthew Bryan.
The trail was conceived as part of the work of the parish council’s Economic Development Working Group to promote active walking, leisure, tourism and support for local businesses in our parish and to publicise our built heritage locally.
If you have any ideas for other things that could be done to support this objective please contact the clerk in the first instance. You would be welcome to attend meeting(s) of the group which are held monthly on Tuesdays in the Community Centre hall.
