Ingatestone and Fryerning Parish Council qualifies for Tesco’s bag initiative

Ingatestone and Fryerning Parish Council hopes to benefit from the Tesco Bags of Help campaign

The scheme awarding grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 from carrier bag sales to community projects. Three regional groups, including the parish council, have been shortlisted to receive the award. Voting is open from November 1- December 31 and customers can cast their vote each time they shop with a token received at the check-out.

 The parish council is in the process of renovating the sports pavilion in Seymour Field to create a facility for our community. It hopes to use the funding to install an electric screen and projector for presentations, talks, education and training. The parish council hopes this will encourage greater contact between residents and use by groups and societies.
