Do you have difficulty navigating your computer? Does the Internet get you in a tangle? Do you find emails a chore? The Silver Surfers (formed of Sixth Formers from the Anglo European School) hope to help alleviate these technological problems and more. As a group, we plan to teach computer literacy to the Ingatestone community – an essential tool of the 21st century. Whether it is simply learning the basics of turning on a computer to becoming familiar with navigating the web, becoming an email guru or being able to communicate with relatives abroad via Skype, we hope to be able to answer any questions directed towards the use of anything computer related. Through this experience, we also hope to establish inter-generational links within the community and the surrounding area. This year, the meetings will have a particular subject which will form the basis of each session.
